Atlanta Braves: Did Moving B.J. Upton Higher in the Order Cost the Team Victories? (Yahoo! Contributor Network)

COMMENTARY | Atlanta Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez may have overreacted to the recent resurgence of B.J. Upton by moving him all the way up to No. 5 in the batting order. Although June has been Upton's best month of the season (12 hits and a .235 average), his .167 overall average is not yet worthy of being counted on in key moments. Gonzalez's decision to insert Upton into one of the premiere spots in the order may have directly cost Atlanta victories.
