Aug 26 (The Sports Xchange) - New York Mets right-handed ace Matt Harvey has a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in his pitching elbow. Mets general manager Sandy Alderson said Monday that Harvey would go on the disabled list and is out for the season. It is not clear if he will need Tommy John surgery. If he does, he would miss the entire 2014 season. Harvey, who started this year's All-Star Game in New York, is 9-5 with a 2.27 ERA and is fourth in the league with 191 strikeouts. - - Forbes Magazine projects this year's Houston Astros to be the most profitable major league team ever. ...
