We pause our Mets coverage here at The Eddie Kranepool Society to focus on my new female crush. Ms. Cheryl  Bernard of Canada.  Not only is Ms. Bernardt a gorgeous female from the  Great White North  she is also a kick-ass Curler, unlike that choking American dog John Shuster, who found his sorry Curling ass on the pine yesterday as the U.S Men’s Curling team defeated France 4-3. But I digress back to the lovely Cheryl.

Ms. Bernard is the Skip of the Canadian team as in Skipper as in Main Babe in Charge and she takes her job very very seriously. Last night she was brilliant in leading her Canadian team to victory over the hotties from Denmark.  This match was so good and entertaining that I stayed with it while my Celtics were running roughshod over the Blazers.

I can’t  get enough Curling or of Cheryl Bernard (wink, wink)

The All Star break is over and we head for the second half of the season tonight on Pro Baseball Central we will discuss the Mets disappointing first half and what direction this team needs to take which  is one of the great complex question of our time, plus we will monitor the Mets-Braves game live. After The Used Car Salesman ranted and raved about Manny Ramirez going to the bushes to get in shape before ending his 50 game sentence the Phillies after signing Petey to a $1.5 mil deal was placed on the 15 day DL with a “strained (wink-wink, nod-nod) shoulder. This was done because Petey wouldn’t sign a minor league deal so the Phills skirted the issue with the bogus DL placement. Am I a bitter jilted Mets fan? YES. Yes I am. I’m not rational when it comes with Petey going to the Cheesesteakers I’m the jilted lover who will now try to make his life miserable.

Matt Wise Tim Redding  will start the season cashing paychecks at the 24 check cashing at Pt. St Lonesome as he is experiencing “shoulder discomfort”,<wink, wink, nod, nod> so he will stay behind in extended spring training to work out his “shoulder discomfort <wink, wink, nod, nod> Whatever is wrong with his shoulder doesn’t seem to efect him picking up a knife and fork as to my eyes Redding is closing in on fat bastard status not far far from the unflatering fat fuck lable.

Who gains from this? Well, Bobby Parnell, Darren O’Day, and  Brian Stokes who look like they will make up the front of the bullpen
